TRICOR has already invested in three BAHMÜLLER TURBOX machines: Two TURBOX 2300 und one TURBOX 1700

At the beginning of 2021 the latest model of TURBOX Technology was installed and taken into operation in the TRICOR mega plant in Bad Wörishofen.

The success story has already started in 2009 with the first Specialty Folder Gluer, purchased as an extension to the product range with great success in the Eppishausen plant. Focusing on heavy board with high grammage the configured machine exceeded the d expectations by far. With the support of BAHMÜLLER application engineers, the new technology was mastered within shortest time and became a success story.

With the extension and startup of the Bad Wörishofen site, the 2nd TURBOX in a width of 1700 mm was taken into operation in order to cope with the growing demands.

Thanks to the ongoing growth and the rocketing market for multi-point glued boxes TRICOR decided to invest in another TURBOX 2300 late 2020. The new line has the potential to be extended to a fully automated line with POWERPACKER to boost the output further. TRICOR took advantage of a demonstration machine with a favorable lead-time.

Ready for the future

The TURBOX is equipped with fully integrated quality inspection devices, monitoring systems such as DFS (Diagonal Fold Supervision) and glue application detection.

The Diagonal Fold Supervision (DFS) is attached to the main folding bridges; therefore, set up is reduced to a minimum. Integrated design and state-of-the-art sensors granting best performance at lowest space.

BOXFLOW® Control tracks the box and cases beyond quality standard are automatically ejected by the patented UNIQUE EJECT system.

The entire system is another milestone and shows our strategy towards Industry 4.0.

The operator team was trained with the recently developed and approved setup concept, which reduces re-start time significantly.

This new concept is applicable for existing lines as well, which will grant further benefit.

Energy-saving drives and the consistent implementation of latest monitoring systems enables effective production with reduced high valuable resources like personnel and materials.

The training courses are designed for efficiency and process optimization, thanks to the high knowledge level of the BAHMÜLLER application engineers.
